      All information displayed on this website is provided in good faith, and every effort has been made to ensure that all the product details, descriptions and prices are correct. The content of the website remain the property of Tapettitalo or its third-party partners. All material is protected by intellectual property rights, and any unauthorised use or reproduction is strictly prohibited. The content of the website may be printed for the purposes of your own personal use.

      Data Protection

      Tapettitalo fully complies with the obligations required of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to safeguard the privacy of its website users. For information on how we process and store data related to your web browsing, please review the Privacy Policy.

      Tapettitalo implements strict security features and maintenance procedures to safeguard the website from unauthorised access, use, modification or destruction of any data stored on the website so as to ensure safe browsing for our users.

      Settlement of Disputes

      These terms and conditions are drawn up in accordance with the Finnish and EU consumer protection legislation. Contractual disputes are primarily settled through negotiations. Consumers may also submit any dispute to local jurisdiction or the or European Online Dispute Resolution Forum maintained by the European Commission.

      Force majeure

      Unless otherwise required by the applicable legislation, Tapettitalo will not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations caused by forces beyond its reasonable control or for any indirect or consequential inconvenience or loss, economic or otherwise.

      Changes

      Tapettitalo reserves the right to revise the online services it maintains and these terms and conditions at any time, and all changes are effective as and when they are published on the website.


      Use of Webshop

      Tapettitalo webshop is intended for private individuals over 18 years of age as well as companies and institutions. You can register as a customer and shop online by filling in the registration form. Registration is free of charge and does not obligate you in any way.

      You can also place an order without registering. However, setting up an account will speed up the checkout process for future purchases as your order will be pre-filled with your details from the stored information. As a registered customer you will also be able to view your past purchases in the order history.

      You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and all activities that occur under your account. If you discover or suspect that your username or password have been compromised or misused, you should notify us immediately.

      Ordering

      A binding sales agreement is formed when Tapettitalo sends an order confirmation to the customer confirming the product availability, price, shipping charges and delivery time. Please note that products placed in the shopping basket are not reserved until the order has been paid for. Keep the order confirmation until the purchased products have been delivered. Check that the delivery is in accordance with the order confirmation.

      On rare occasions, when there are unexpected changes in product availability or when shipping is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, our customer service will contact the customer by email. The customer will be reimbursed for the unavailable product according to the payment method used for the order. In the event of inaccuracies in the price or description of a product, we will inform the customer of this by email and wait for the customer’s approval before processing the order.

      If the product you wish to purchase is temporarily out of stock, please sign up to receive availability notification or contact our customer service to find out when new stock is expected to be available again.

      Whilst we always try our best to make our images as accurate as possible, the actual colours you will see can vary dependent upon your device. Therefore, we would highly recommend to use our sample service to check colour and finish prior to placing any order.

      Prices

      The product price is the price displayed for the item on the Service at the time of ordering. All prices are displayed in euros (€) and include valid VAT (this applies to orders by private individuals in another EU country as well) but exclude shipping charges, which are depend on the total dimensions and weight of the order and the chosen shipping method. Product prices and shipping charges are subject to change without prior notice.

      Companies with a delivery address in the EU will be charged without VAT, provided that a valid VAT number is included when ordering. All orders made from and shipped to countries outside the EU are charged without the Finnish VAT. Please note that the recipient in a non-EU country is liable for all import duties and local sales taxes that may be levied by the destination country.

      Payment

      Payments are processed securely through the payment service provider Paytrail Plc. Tapettitalo cannot get access to your credit or debit card details at any time.       You may also pay with Tapettitalo gift card. Add the items you wish to purchase in the shopping cart and enter the unique code from the gift card in the field at checkout. If your order total exceeds the amount on your gift card, choose one of the other payment methods to pay for the outstanding balance. Any unused value left on the gift card can be used for later purchases. Gift cards are not refundable or redeemable for cash. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

      Shipping

      Orders are usually processed and shipped within 1-2 working days after the order is placed. The exact shipping charges involved will be shown when you are selecting your desired shipping method before you finalise your order. When your order is ready to ship, we will e-mail you the tracking code for your shipment.

      The following shipping methods are available within Finland

      • Postal Parcel. The order can picked up from a postal outlet or a parcel locker. Delivery time 1-3 working days.
      • Home Parcel. The order is delivered to the address indicated on the address label within the time slot agreed upon. Delivery time 1-2 working days. (Not available for the Åland Islands.)
      • Express Parcel. The order is delivered to the address indicated on the address label between 8-16 on working days. Delivery time 1-2 working days.
      • Pick up at Tapettitalo (free of charge). Delivery time 1-7 working days.

      International Shipping

      You can choose the shipping method that suits you best from the following options

      • Priority Mail Service. Depending on the country, the order is delivered either to the recipient or to the local postal outlet or pick-up point. Delivery times: 3-5 working days to Europe, 6-10 working days to the rest of the world.
      • Express Mail Service. The order is delivered to the address indicated on the address label. Delivery times: 3-4 working days in Europe and 4-8 working days to the rest of the world.
      • DHL Express. The order is delivered to the address indicated on the shipping label. Delivery times: 2-4 working days to Europe and 3-4 working days to the rest of the world.

      Please note that delivery times are indicative and do not include any delays arising from customs inspections or other measures in the destination country.

      In case your order does not arrive within the expected time and our customer service has not contacted you regarding shipping delay, please contact us at palvelu@tapettitalo.fi or +358 9 767658. If you believe your order has been lost in transit, please report it to us within 14 days from the confirmed shipping date.

      Kindly note that you bear the risk of damage or loss of the product once you have received it. You have 7 days to report any visible damage from shipping; such reports made after this period will not be accepted.

      Returns

      We hope you are happy with your purchase. However, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, please see below for our return policy.

      Consumers residing in the EU have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving the purchased product by notifying us of this by email or in another manner. The right to withdraw from the purchase does not apply to companies and institutions. For product orders outside the EU, we offer a replacement or refund only if the ordered product turns out to be defective or damaged in transit.

      You should notify us of your decision to withdraw from your purchase in an unambiguous way (for example, by mail or by email). You can also use our printable return form and email it to our customer service at palvelu@tapettitalo.fi. We will inform you of our return practices by email.

      The product must be unused and in the original condition as it was sent to you. You may open one roll per wallpaper design for inspection. The product should be repacked in its original packaging or equivalent and returned to us without delay no later than 14 days of giving the cancellation notice. When sending products back to us, you will be responsible for any damage during shipping.

      Tapettitalo will reimburse to you the payment received from you excluding any costs resulting from your choice of delivery method in excess of the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us.

      Failure to pick up an order or refusal of delivery will not be considered a return. In case your order is returned to us as undeliverable, we will reimburse to you the payment received from your excluding the shipping charges. If you still wish to have the products that returned to us, please place a new order on our website.

      Refunds

      Once we have received your return and inspected the condition of the product, we will notify you of the approval of your refund. Your refund will be processed without delay and within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice. All refunds will be made by the same payment method originally used for the order. We may, however, postpone the refund until we have received the product or you have provided us a copy of the receipt of return delivery.

      In case defects are found in the condition of the returned product, Tapettitalo may deduct from your reimbursement to compensate for the loss in the product value. Our customer service will advise you accordingly.

      Reclamations

      Any defective or damaged products should be reported to our customer service at palvelu@tapettitalo.fi without delay. Please fill in the reclamation form and send it to us together with photos of the defect or damage. Our customer service will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

      If the product is found defective or has a damage, a full replacement or a refund will be made at no charge. In case the reclamation leads to return of the product, Tapettitalo will be responsible for the return costs.

      We advise that you should check the wallpaper lot for product and batch codes as soon as you have received them. Also check each length for defects before and during hanging. If a defect is found, report it to us immediately. Claims can not be accepted for wallpaper hung in excess of 2 lengths, where a defect could reasonably be recognised before hanging. Please note that slight variations in print are characteristic of traditional paper wallpaper, and not to be considered as manufacturing defects. We suggest that you obtain a sample before placing your order. In case it has been a while since you received your sample, please contact our customer service to check the currently available batch of the wallpaper before ordering. Please also note that the images on the website look different on different devices and therefore may not match the exact colour tones of the products.
